Thanks to a native Italian, Luisella Corbellari-Hunter, and a native New Mexican, Michelle Martinez, Albuquerque can dine on Pasta Divina, the only local certified organic pasta company. Two years ago, Corbellari-Hunter and Martinez joined forces to create fresh pastas in 11 unique shapes and in appetizing flavors such as garlic pepper, spinach, basil and red pdpper, alson wiht sauces, compound butters, and ravioli.
"We truly believe in being certfied organic. It really makes our product, our health, and our planet better," says Corbellari-Hunter. Martinez adds that they keep it local as often as possible. "We like to support the guy who's out there trying to put food on his table."
Pick up Pasta Divina at Whole Foods Markets (www.wholefoods.com), La Montanita Co-ops (www.lamontanita.coop), and Growers' Markets this summer. Says Martinez, "Pasta Divina is made with laughter and packaged with love."— JT
